Our big old world goes 'round and 'round,
Sometimes up and sometimes down-
Sometimes dark and sometimes light,
I have day and you have night.

Mountains high and oceans deep,
You're awake while I'm asleep.

Sometimes day and sometimes night,
Sometimes black and sometimes white-
Sometimes moon and sometimes sun
But always, ever only one-
The world, and we, are always one.
